Observances/The Book of Soundings

A pair of slim, dove-grey volumes in an elegant linen slipcase published for Lewis'
solo exhibition in Germany in 2007. The Book of Soundings consists of Lewis'
delicate, surreal drawings, all inspired by the concept of taking soundings, a way
of measuring at a distance. Their depth and repetitive qualities draw in the viewer
like few works of two-dimensional art. Its companion, Observances, collects Lewis'
