The Center for Land Use Interpretation is a research and education organization dedicated to the study of how the nation’s lands are apportioned, utilized, and perceived. It was founded in 1994 by Matthew Coolidge. Its main office is located at 9331 Venice Boulevard in Culver City, California, and it hosts satellite facilities at the Great Salt Lake Desert in Wendover, Utah as well as the Mojave Desert and Owens Lake in California.
