TIME: Meet 1:30 PM, Roll 2:00 PM from 7th Street/Metro Center using Blue Line; Roll 3:10 PM from Downtown Long Beach Station

START LOCATIONS: 7th Street/Metro Center and Downtown Long Beach Station

END LOCATION: Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement

BRIDGING THE GAP

This is a formal notification of a 32-mile long, 1,000-feet high structural inspection of every bike-accessible bridge that crosses the Los Angeles River between Long Beach and the new Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement. The purpose of this inspection is to determine the seismic vulnerabilities of all the other bridges downstream. Please plan accordingly as the Southland’s industrial transport systems depend on many of these connections. Lights, bike, and ribbon cutting scissors all highly recommended.
