Red Pens
Writing Group

Red Pens is an in-person writing group, a space to write in community, and find peer-to-peer support. We welcome people writing essays, artist statements, stories, poems, brainstorming ideas through writing, drafting fellowship and grant/residency applications, project proposals and more.
We offer three hours of quiet cowriting space. The last hour will provide an optional time for participants to meet in pairs or small groups to share about what they are working on, talk through projects, and develop peer on peer reading and editing relationships. Red Pens meets every three weeks and is hosted by Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA).
We will have a printer for use and provide coffee and tea, pens, pencils, highlighters, post-it notes, and scrap paper. Participants must bring their own device chargers and refreshments.
Our first session meets 3/11 at 6-9pm. Email LACA with any questions prior to the event. We hope you will join us and find Red Pens a helpful and friendly place to get some of your work done around others doing the same!
Organized by Simone Montemurno & Claire Nereim
