Opening reception and book release for "a curving wave that never breaks". Both the exhibition and book serve as a continuation of Perez Meruane's 2015 project "circuitos" at Galería Tajamar in Santiago, Chile. This body of work takes as its point of the departure the connection between Chuquicamata, the worlds largest open pit copper mine, located in Chile's Atacama desert, and the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
The accompanying publication and artist edition will be presented at the opening reception, followed by a talk between Perez Meruane and Colpa Press at the LA Art Book Fair on Saturday Feb. 25th at noon in The Classroom.
