Description:
In 2018, Artist Alan Nakagawa was invited by Devon Tsuno and Gregory Williams, of California State University Dominguez Hills, to propose an art project focusing on the Ninomiya Photo Archive. For 12 months, Nakagawa reviewed this unique collection and inspired, proposed a series of student workshops to design this art zine.
In addition, UNFINISHED PROOF OF NINOMIYA, a solo exhibition of his responses to the archive, was displayed in the university's art gallery from May to September 2019.
During the exhibition, a series of educational pop ups throughout Los Angeles were produced, which acted as public service announcements about the exhibition and archive.
