Description:

This publication chronicles eighteen noise performances between 2009 and 2015 in Los Angeles and New York. Noise-Action refers to the performance as a form of sonic and political engagement. The process of listening, gathering together in a space, the production of the sound itself, and the  entire social context as a complex listening and performing encounter. Noise as a course of action. DSE is a platform for the production and dissemination of electronic noise, noise actions, and processed recordings. Utilizing analogue and digital source material, DSE emphasizes an attack of the structural authority and intelligibility of language including its political, sonic, and spatial orientation.
